Warren Shows at Gallery at the Station

Friday, September 3 was the opening reception for Kimbal's show at the Union Station in Ogden, Utah. We were met with old and new friends. Thanks to everyone who attended. The show will continue through the end of September and includes 29 of his most recent paintings.

The Zions Bank Art show went very well. We were please to make some new friends and meet with some old friends as well. We were fortunate to meet Governor and first lady; Herbert at the show and show them some of Kimbal's work. We were so pleased that Bank President Scott Anderson made it possible to surprise and present Governor Herbert with a Kimbal Warren original! Thanks Mr. Anderson! Hope the Governor and first lady enjoy the painting.

Don't miss Kimbal's new works at the Zions Bank Art Show, Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6:30 -8:30. It will be at the new Zions Bank Building. Enter from South Temple. Parking at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Kimbal will be present.

This is up Payson Canyon. A great place to paint and go horse riding. I was up there with some art friends recently and came back to finish up this painting. Hope someone likes it and wants to take it home!

A lot of the models in his paintings are of himself or of a friend that he is on a horseback ride with. And all of these subjects come from places he's been. Every painting has a story behind it which makes them that much more facinating.

Kimbal Warren is a landscape painter. His medium is oil on canvas and has been painting since he was in grade school. He always knew he wanted to be a professional artist despite those around him who said it was a waste of time. He has definitely proved them all wrong. The work he produces is something to be in awe of. The way he captures a moment in nature becomes something to savor for a lifetime.

I decided to start a blog for my dad. He really needs someplace where he can share his work and adventures with others. There is no way he would do this on his own so I'm going to get it started for him. Hopefully he'll like this so much he will want to continue with it!
